Things to Note When Swimming at Sam Son

Sam Son Beach is divided into four sections: A, B, C, and D.

Beach A is the most crowded, with a gentle slope and strong waves. It features many boats and rocky cliffs that are great for photos. However, be cautious when checking in near the mountains due to sharp rocks.

Beach B has more moderate waves, making it suitable for groups with elderly individuals and children. This area has many snack shops along the shore.

Beach C has large waves, is busy, and is well-maintained. The area has many restaurants, cafes, and karaoke bars. The slope is flat and is often used for recreational activities.

Beach D is quieter, close to the fishing boat area, and is ideal for those who want to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere.

Sam Son Beach always has a lifeguard team on duty. In case of emergencies such as drowning, seasickness, or cramps, it’s best to keep your mouth closed, hold your breath, use your arms and legs as paddles, and signal for help while keeping your head above water. Note that swimming is not allowed during noon and after 5 PM, as the lifeguard team is off duty.

Sam Son Beach is not as calm and serene as other beaches. The waves here are strong and crash continuously onto the shore. Therefore, it’s advisable to do some light stretching before entering the water to avoid cramps.

On days with rough seas, Sam Son often has dangerous currents far from the shore. Before swimming, take a few minutes to observe and stay away from hazardous areas.
