In addition to traditional games, people visit Hanoi's walking street for cultural and artistic activities that are regularly held here. Water Puppet Theater
Hanoi operates double-decker buses with two different routes, both starting and ending at Con Coc Garden near Ho Guom. These buses pass by significant places such as the Vietnam Military History Museum, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Hoa Lo Prison, and more.
Children’s Activities and Traditional Games
To recreate the charm of traditional games, the walking street often hosts traditional game competitions with activities such as "o an quan", "ca kheo" (stilts), "danh chuyen", "da cau" (shuttlecock kicking), "keo co" (tug of war) and making "to he" (traditional figurines). You can find and play these games along the streets around Ho Guom. Additionally, children can enjoy various activities such as electric car rides, roller skating, painting figurines, and reading books.
Portrait Drawing
In just about 10 minutes, you can have a portrait drawn for a price of VND 100,000 to 150,000. Along Dinh Tien Hoang Street, there are over 10 artists, usually art students or traditional portrait painters. This service has been available for a long time and is usually busy during festivals and holidays.
Night Market
The night market operates from 19:00 until late on the weekends along Hang Ngang, Hang Dao, and Hang Duong streets, ending at Dong Xuan Market. In addition to street vendors, movable stalls are set up in the middle of the streets, leaving a 3-3.5 meter wide walkway for pedestrians. The night market features a variety of goods including clothing, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
